Verizon and AT&T bickering like children, US courts to step in

This looks like a case of, “You suck. No, you do! I’m telling mom!” AT&T has not been overly pleased with Verizon running around saying it has “America’s Most Reliable 3G Network,” but Verizon stands by its words. AT&T has filed against Verizon with, get ready for this, the National Advertising Division of the Council for Better Business Bureaus, contesting that the Big Red’s claims are inaccurate and its commercials are false advertising. Verizon seems to think that speed isn’t really an issue when it comes to reliability but AT&T begs to differ:

“Verizon’s claim that speed is not a relevant factor to a reliable 3G network is preposterous,” AT&T spokesman Mark Siegel said in his statement.

We all know there is really only one way to find out which carrier has the better, faster network, right? Yeah, you guessed it — BGR’s very own ongoing network tests where we ask you, the consumer, to tell us what your data speeds and coverage are like. As for whether or not speed and reliability go hand in hand, we’ll stay away from that one and let AT&T and VZW slap it out.
