Oh look, it’s Windows Phone — the soon to be released smartphone OS formerly known as Windows Mobile 6.5. The folks over at The Inquirer were given a demonstration of what was called the final build of the OS and they happened to have a video camera on hand to capture things like the Zune-ish UI, Marketplace for Windows Phone, the free My Phone sync service, Microsoft Tag and a whole bunch of other goodies that are sure to get the WinMo freaks out there fired up. One particularly interesting tidbit from the video: Microsoft will not now, nor ever refer to the OS as Windows Mobile 6.5, referring to it only as Windows Phone: “We don’t even refer to the operating system because it’s part of the whole long term strategy of releases coming out.” Yeah, good luck with that. Hit the jump for the video.
