The Samsung Galaxy I7500, once Samsung's only Android device and previously unavailable in the US, has hit stateside. The good news? It's not tied down to a carrier so any GSM user can pop in their SIM card and get rolling. The bad news? It's not tied down to a carrier so there's no subsidies, which means you'll have to pony up $579.99 to get rolling. Yikes.
We'd be hard pressed to find a good enough reason to buy the Galaxy I7500 at that price. Especially with Samsung releasing two new Android devices, the Moment on Sprint and the Behold II on T-Mobile. But if you're into being financially irresponsible, the unlocked Galaxy I7500 is available at Newegg (no ship date).
And though it is unlocked, it looks like the Galaxy I7500 will only work on T-Mobile 3G and not AT&T 3G.
