Apparently it's Samsung Day here in Windows Mobile World. This time around we have press shots from Connect-UTB [via coolsmartphone] of what's being called the Omnia Pro (great, another Pro name), which we might well see at Monday's news conference in London. The Omnia Pro's being billed as a Windows Mobile 6.1 phone with AMOLED screen. We also get another look at the Louvre.
But wait, there's more: Speaking of the Louvre, here's a pic of it in the flesh, albeit under glass. — not exactly inspiring thoughts of a finished product ready to be played with. That said, we glean a few more specs from the post at Beyond3D. [via modaco and wmpoweruser] We now know of a 3.5mm headphone jack (hurray!), TV out, a pair of UIs with a hardware toggle and an 800MHz CPU. Here's a refresher on what we already know:
- Quad-band EDGE, HSDPA (the 7.2Mbps)
- aGPS
- 3.5-inch AMOLED touchscreen at 480x800
- 5MP camera (no flash)
- FM radio
- 1GB ROM
- Bluetooth 2.0
- WiFi b/g
- MicroSD
- Accelerometer
- 1500mAh battery
- Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional (will receive the 6.5 upgrade)
The poster also says to look for the release of the Louvre to be delayed until in August, at the earliest, for ROM reasons. They also say the Omnia 2 has been delayed until November for the same reason.
Got all that? Stay tuned, folks. Monday's news conference could be a doozy.
