Palm Pre Launch Date: May 17th is Your Earliest Bet

Engadget has just published what looks to be an internal Sprint document that suggests that they're aiming for a "Req Delivery Date" of May 16th.  If you're wondering what that means, their guess (and ours) is that the 16th is a target date to have everything ready, not a release date.  As we've said many-a-time, Sprint likes to release on Sundays, so May 17th is still your best guess.  A recent rumor suggested that very date, but stipulated that if things weren't super-duper-mega-ready, Sprint and Palm were reserving the option to delay until, well, until the end of the First Half of 2009.
