To start the week we have another great Nokia N8 game to recommend today: Real Football 2010 HD from Gameloft (Real Soccer HD for those in North America). While I have to admit I’m more of a hockey fan this enticing football game will keep you entertained for hours.
You can play for a variety of different clubs (teams for those in North America) from all over the world and fully customize the players, formations, and even the names of your players. Competing in the Season Club Master or Cup modes allows you to progress with a specific team while Quick Matches allow you to dive right into a game. For those looking for additional excitement there’s a mode specifically designed just for penalty kicks.
There’s a range of options that you can set when entering a game including the time (day or night) or the conditions (sun, rain, or snow). While it’s not exactly realistic to see snow in some of the more exotic stadium locations it adds a nice touch to the environments.
The in-game controls are easy to get used to thanks to the training and advanced training exercises and you’ll find yourself mastering your passing game in no time. A warning, be careful with throw-ins! Throw-ins are done by tilting your device and on more than one occasion an over-zealous throw lead to my Nokia N8 flying through the air.
The only flaw I found with this game is the scrolling in the menus is somewhat buggy and not as fluid as you’d expect. Having said that, this is an excellent game for any sports fan out there and well worth trying out. You can download it now from the Store for the Nokia N8!
Real Football 2010 HD is available here, while Real Soccer 2010 HD is available here. Note: these games are identical except for their name
Happy Gaming,
Myles
