Despite the fact that you typically get your hands on sexy new Nokia handsets well before we do, the recent announcement of the AT&T-bound Nokia Surge made you insane with jealousy. How could your precious Nokia drop such a gem in the US and ignore Europe completely? Well you can stop plotting your hostile takeover of Espoo now as Nokia has just announced the 6760 slide. The specs are nearly identical to the US version and it still has a face only a mother could love. Also, just to keep you feeling special, the 6760 slide will rock a 3.2 megapixel camera as opposed to the paltry 2 megapixel shooter in AT&T’s Surge. Not surprisingly, Nokia is billing the 6760 slide as a social networking phone and will surely continue to drop the word “Twitter” and variants thereof like its life, or handset, depended on it. In all seriousness though, this puppy is definitely a sold tween messenger that can be had on the cheap — definitely worth a look for the young’n in your life. The 6760 slide will be available in various markets around the world some time this quarter for €199 before subsidies.
