Dell Mini 5 to use Android 2.x on launch

When the promised Dell Mini 5 tablet ships later this year, it will run on a newer version of the Android OS than the 1.6 build prototypes of the device have been running on thus far, according to a Monday Engadget report. While which exact build will be preloaded has not been disclosed, Dell staff did indicate it will have Flash support, likely the latest 10.1 version of the software. Depending on when the smartbook PC ships, this could mean Android 2.0, 2.1 or the upcoming Froyo....
