Hi, I’m Tiina Mikkonen and I work in Games and Media at Nokia. I’ve been involved in the development of a number of mobile games at Nokia and one of the most popular has been Dance Fabulous, which was released earlier this year for Nokia N-Gage. We just released an updated version with a touch interface for the Nokia N97, N97 mini and 5800 available in the Store. In fact, Dance Fabulous is now compatible with all Nokia S60 5.0 phones.
Dance Fabulous is a dance and music game that lets you use all the music you’ve stored on your phone to play with the game. You can customize your characters, pick a location and design choreography to your favorite music. It’s a casual game designed for a wide audience ranging from gaming newcomers to those who want to play during short periods of free time.
The touch interface is becoming really popular in mobile gaming because it makes the user experience more intuitive. In Dance Fabulous, the new touch interface makes it easier to distinguish between different dance moves and master challenging dance choreographies and gain more points in the game play. Also, touch gives users greater customization options like changing your character’s clothing, dance scenes, and music with just a sweep of your finger. You don’t need any special skills or gaming platforms to play the game, just a bit of rhythm and you’re good to go.

I should also mention that Dance Fabulous is the first cross-service game from Nokia, incorporating both music and gaming experiences. The game is fully compatible with Ovi Music and if you have a Comes with Music device, you can have an endless supply of new music for your game play.
One more cool thing – - we collaborated with Interscope Records and rocker Dave Stewart to introduce a new artist, Cindy Gomez, through Dance Fabulous. The game includes a Cindy Gomez avatar, her motion-captured dance moves and 3 of her songs. This is a novel approach to launch a new artist and distribute music and we think you’ll like the results. So try Dance Fabulous and let us know what you think in the comments section below.
Keep dancin’….Tiina
