We here at Ovi Blog HQ have some fantastic news for all you Ovi Blog readers! Just yesterday we published the official Ovi Blog Application in Store (you can download it here), which means that you can now get all your Ovi news and blog posts directly to your compatible Nokia touch device (N97 mini, N8 and X6 plus more compatible devices coming soon!) in real time, wherever you are. Now, the app contains much more than just your average blog feed, so let’s dwell a bit deeper into the app itself, shall we?
First off, in the ‘home view’ of the app, you see three things: the app gets real-time feeds from Nokia Conversations and Ovi Blog (on the left); there’s also a feed that shows content with selected Ovi and Nokia hashtags from Twitter (on the right); and finally, in the bottom, the app highlights and features news from our most important Nokia events throughout the year (such as the upcoming Nokia World 2010, for example). All this is in one easy-to-use, integrated view:
Want to read some blog posts? Tap on “News”! Hmm, what awesome things have Niini and Pino written about today…?
OMG, this post is so friggin’ awesome that I want to tweet about this, right now! Let’s just log in and get tweeting! By the way, you can tweet about any news, posts, feeds or specific events you see in the app.
And speaking of Twitter, after I publish my own tweet, I want to see what other people are saying on Twitter about Ovi and Nokia!
And finally, since I’m going to Nokia World 2010 (ahem), I should totally check what kind of busy schedule I’m looking at (yikes):
After Nokia World 2010 is over, the app will promote highlights of the event and then focus on the next upcoming Nokia event.
So what are you waiting for? The Ovi Blog app is available for free download from Store right now and it’s compatible with Nokia Symbian touch devices Nokia N97 mini, Nokia N8 and Nokia X6. More compatible devices are coming very soon!
Let us know what you think about the app in the comments section, we want to hear your views!
-Niini
